Andre Basbaum

Director, Business Development

Andre Basbaum serves as the Director for Business Development. Over the past 8 years he has played key roles in the design and execution of multiple deals in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry including the in-licensing of Infergen for the treatment of Hepatitis C as well as the global licensing of Pradefovir for the treatment of Hepatitis B.

Prior to VentiRx, Mr. Basbaum was the Senior Manager for Global Business Development and Licensing at Valeant Pharmaceuticals International and led the Strategic Planning group at Anadys Pharmaceuticals Inc. Prior to joining Anadys Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Basbaum was in the Global Market Planning group at Agouron Pharmaceuticals (a Pfizer Company).

Prior to his experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Mr. Basbaum was the Director for Sales and Marketing for a specialized retail chain in electronics. Mr. Basbaum received a B.A. in Business Administration from Pontificia Universidade Catolica and a Professional Certificate in Business Management from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD).
