Kristi Manjarrez

Senior Director, Clinical Affairs

Kristi Manjarrez joined VentiRx in July 2007 as Senior Director of Clinical Affairs. Before joining VentiRx, Ms. Manjarrez worked at Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ: DNDN), a biotechnology company based in Seattle, WA, developing immunotherapy approaches for cancer. In the course of her seven years at Dendreon, Ms. Manjarrez held multiple positions within the company, culminating in her role as Director of Clinical Operations since 2005. As such, Ms. Manjarrez was responsible for strategic and operational leadership in clinical development for the company’s lead program, Provenge™, a novel cellular therapy for the treatment of prostate cancer. Ms. Manjarrez played an instrumental role in obtaining a Special Protocol Assessment (SPA) for the company's pivotal Phase III multi-center, international trial (study D9902B), and was responsible for overseeing this program as well. Ms. Manjarrez's responsibilities also entailed oversight of protocol development, clinical trial monitoring, and vendor management for multiple Phase I through III programs.

Prior to her work at Dendreon, Ms. Manjarrez served at AAI Pharma (formerly Medical and Technical Research Associates) as a Clinical Research Associate. In this capacity, Ms. Manjarrez participated in the development of multiple therapeutics and medical devices with indications in allergy, asthma, end-stage renal disease, infectious disease, orthopedics, and oncology. From 1995 to 1999, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Seattle area, where she played a key role in the clinical testing of various investigational drug products for allergies and asthma, including pediatrics.

Ms. Manjarrez holds a B.S. in Microbiology with a concentration in biochemistry from the University of Washington.
