VTX-1463 is being developed intranasally as a stand alone agent for the treatment of seasonal and perennial allergies, and has completed Phase Ia and Ib clinical studies in allergic rhinitis patients. The clinical trial was conducted at the Vienna Challenge Chamber (VCC) in Austria. The Phase Ib in allergic patients showed subjective and objective measures of anti-allergic effects. Given the encouraging results, we are initiating a second Phase Ib study in Summer 2010 to refine the ideal dosing and frequency of VTX-1463 in order to embark into Phase II development.
